「If you pictured this property minutes from the historic district of Newtown it’s exactly that. The space brings to life the feeling of the rustic yet comfortable aspect of Connecticut. My adult son and teenage daughter were comfortable but thoroughly enjoyed the living room fireplace. This location is 10 minutes away from restaurants that will please most families with a mix of family to high end with a side of fancy. 」

「The cottage was perfect for our weekend trip to visit our son at West Point. A picturesque drive to West Point, the cottage was so cute and was full of thoughtful amenities. Had we had the time to cook, the kitchen was stocked with spices, condiments, and cooking oils to make it easy to do so. The complimentary coffee was perfect as we arrived late and the stores were closed. The host was easy to contact and so kind and thoughtful. We will definitely book again. 」

「Cozy, clean property. We had everything we needed for a 3-night stay for West Point Family Weekend. Several stores & restaurants conveniently nearby. Host Neury was most accommodating. Incredible views & scenery!!」

「Landscaping was spectacular and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the lake. Baths and bedrooms very clean. Plenty of charging ports. Terrible mold and mildew smell in lower level. Number of hazards noted, handrail missing on stairs, no lights on outdoor stairway, thermostat access by leaning over the stairs. The property needs a good deep cleaning.」

「The house was beautifully decorated and furnished well. We enjoyed the large kitchen. The host responded to questions quickly and well. It is a beautiful region. Views were lovely, and roads and driveway were scraped of snow before we had time to think about it. 」

「We had a wonderful Christmas getaway with family at the “Ice Cream Cottage”. It is much more spacious than it looks on the outside.It was clean and had everything we needed. Host was attentive to any questions we had.The fenced in yard was great for our “fur baby” to run around.」

「This was the second time I stayed at this property and really do love it. It is close enough to my family in Ridgefield for me to fee like I am just around the corner, while being in a quiet, peaceful private property. The setup was perfect for myself and my mom, but could also accommodate a larger group. It isn’t a big space, but had everything that we needed. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be looking to stay here again on another visit. Thank you!」

「No complaints. Stayed during the winter so ne er got the full experience with the lake but it was a great home.」

「We were a family of 4 adults and 2 toddlers staying over Thanksgiving. We really didn’t need all the space but we certainly enjoyed it. There’s a huge well stocked kitchen, kids’ play areas on both the main floor and basement, and the property is massive and gorgeous. Great stay!」
