The main components of a resort holiday are staff, food, rooms, activities & facilities. Staff: Our trip started off not great with a delayed flight, causing us to miss our first night at the resort. We were surprised (and a little upset) that our room wasn't ready, even though we were a day late. After this, we can't say enough good things about our interactions with the rest of the staff, particularly wait staff - both Manuel's, Juan, Silvia, William, Keira, Marianna, the bartenders at both the lobby bar and the Monkey Bar (pool bar). The pool activities staff were also amazing, especially Diego, Juanita, Jesus, Suny & Antony. Overall, everyone that we interacted with were very helpful and accommodating, but in a very relaxed and easy manner. They really make you feel at home. Food & Drinks: Many of the review that we read before going on this trip described the food as more middle-of-the-road fare and we would agree with this assessment. However, the breakfasts were very good with a great variety of choices and make sure you have an omelette! The chicken wings at the pool restaurant were great as well as the guacamole. The buffets (other than the breakfast buffets) tend to vary in the quality of the dishes but we could always find something pleasing. The specialty themed nights which are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (reservations required) were better than the supper buffets. Generally speaking there was a wide variety of selections at any of the dining

This hotel is totally misrepresented in the pictures, it is an outdated property, there is no beach and it is situated across the street from the property, there is no sand to walk out onto the beach, just coral rocks with a ladder adjacent to a shipping dock. The food options are limited and bland, I’m on a plant based diet and had to purchase meals and food off of the property. The wifi only works in the hotel lobby of the property and the water in the shower smelt of sewage, the walls are paper thin and you can literally hear everything in the adjacent rooms, water running, toilets flushing etc. This hotel is best suited for tourists on a dive holiday that are ok with basic accommodations.

Love the location, nice walking sidewalk in both directions. We stayed last year and returned this year and noticed many improvements. I still think more needed - walk in shower, bring the dressers back! Pool entertainment was nice and food selection was much better.

This property offers an all inclusive option that includes food and alcohol. Its close to the city and a major grocery store that is walkable. The property is older and it shows but I will still return to the hotel. Some variety on beer selection and food menu would make it better.

The staff was outstanding, helpful, friendly and attentive in every way. Dining service was also outstanding. Choices at the all inclusive buffet were excellent. There was something to eat all day long. The hotel was immaculately clean at all times. Our room was also very clean. The common areas were bright, clean and had wonderful atmosphere and views. Room was bright and beds were comfy. Purified water provided throughout the hotel which was very helpful. The room could use a few repairs: water pressure was low, the sliding door lock was broken and the wifi didn't work. Very small TV screen of low quality. I'm sure we could have asked for more towels by they started with the bare minimum. No cups in the room. Still using plastic bottled champoos and conditioner and would prefer a more eco friendly option. But we weren't there to be in the room so didn't complain. Could use a dehumidifier system. Loved the hammock in the room. We met people who have been coming to this hotel for more than 10 years! The beach area had excellent snorkeling and great vibe. Not a party crowd, just nice people relaxing. Great views. I can't compliment all the staff enough. They were awesome.

We were given no info at time of check in. The showers leaked all over the bathroom floors, water kept getting turned off, beds were uncomfortable. Came in one day at like 3pm, tried to get food and nothing was open. I’ve never been to an all inclusive where I couldn’t get food any time. Location is great. We were able to walk all over. Staff was friendly. For the 50 crowd

Close proximity to town and food options were good. Drinks were decent. They were painting sections of the hotel and you can tell they are trying to keep it up. Pool area needs some tile maintenence. Beds were very firm. Staff were excellent.

Great pool and beach area. The ala carte dinners are amazing. Fantastic wait staff, bartenders and animation team. Reception check in/out was easy and efficient. 2 that mbs up...I would return to this resort.

We booked here for a couple of weeks and we’re not sure what to expect. Snorkeling, walking and sun were our reasons for staying here. The snorkeling from shore was so convenient. There are a variety of fish and so many different spots to explore. We very much enjoyed it. Highlights for us included seeing a huge spotted eagle ray, turtle and the schools of blue tangs. We walked about 7km every morning (and felt very safe doing so!). Located just outside the hustle and bustle of the cruise ports and downtown, there were always people around. We relaxed in the sun on the ‘beach’ side primarily. If you like entertainment and games then the poolside is a great option for you. Staff are excellent and so friendly. They truly make the resort what it is! The buffet food was good. There were different themes each night which was fun. Some dinners had great shows to go with them (Mayan show, Fire Dancers, etc). The venues for the buffet changed to different locations around the resort and we really enjoyed that. We also made reservations at the a la carte restaurants and were impressed by most of them. The rooms are very simple and dated but clean. We heard that renovations are underway but we did not see or hear any activity indicating so. A refresh of furniture and bathrooms would be great. Having said that though, we would we would book here again. Thanks for a great stay!!

The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Access to the ocean is definitely a reason to choose this resort. And I met so many other nice guests. We had some illness in our group and the front desk even said they could talk to the chef if we’d like and ask him to make chicken noodle soup. We will be back!

This lovely place is walking distance from town and it has a dreamy beach with a swimming area, and gigantic pool. Staff are friendly, food is great, and even on a rainy day there is plenty to do. It is an easy place to stay if you don’t, or barely speak Spanish. I’ve been twice and would return again. If I want more I’ll get a day pass to a bigger resort but have never felt the need.
