The property itself lives upto its expectation as a proper dug out and with that comes its pros and cons. The room, although cool, can get stuffy, so i left the door open and used the supplied fans to circulate the air when i could. The room is amazingly dark and quiet, which makes for a good nights sleep. The presentation of the room by its design is rudimentary. Electric cabling is exposed, the cupboard is a hole in the wall, but for me this added to the character, lending to a sanitised 'real mine' feel. There was tea and coffee in the room as well as a kettle, toaster and microwave. There is a little DVD library, if you just want to vegitate in the coolness of the room. The continental breakfast was a bit pricey, but had a pretty good array of options, including toasted waffles and fruit juices; you could really fill up to start the day. The staff are really friendly, informative and helpful. Knowing what to expect, id happily stay there again.
