We had a lovely stay at Villa Allemanda! The condo was pristine, and the unobstructed views from our balcony and bedroom were outstanding! The Villa is perched right above Indigo Bay Beach, which we decided, after trying several others, was the best beach to spend our stay, and it was very convenient to have a restaurant right there on the beach. We ate there several times, and met a wonderful beach server to help us settle in and serve us food and drink throughout our stay. My only problem with the Villa is that we were not aware of the amount of ascending and descending stairs we had to navigate to access the Villa and then inside the Villa as well. We both got quite a workout by the end of 10 beautiful sunny days there. Michael, the property manager, could not have been more friendly, welcoming, and helpful during our stay . We got advice about restaurants, beaches and in home chef services, and he even went out of his way to set up an Apple TV program so we could watch the Superbowl ! We were very grateful for his advice, and kindness.
We did rent a car, which I believe is a must on St. Martin, and am glad we did, becaue we needed it to drive even to Indigo Bay Beach, as the walk was too long. Navigation is difficult there on the island and the traffic was horrendous, especially with all the motor bikes weaving ina nd around the cars, but we prevailed and were able to get to the wonderful local supermarket, and to any restaurant we wanted to dine at.
One word of advice,; bring your own hairdryer, as none of the hairdryers in the villa had adaptable heat settings.
