The Sunset Bar which is located within the courtyard provides a great opportunity for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Definitely a great place to enjoy Catalina Island, and rest. "

"I’ve been coming to Catalina Island since I was a kid, but I had never had the opportunity to stay at hermosa hotel. This time around I am married, expecting, and decided to bring our paw babies with us to our baby moon. My husband and I loved it and will be staying here again. It’s minutes from Vons and down the street from my grandpas home. I would recommend Hermosa hotel to anyone planning on coming."

"We loved this place. I gave it 5 stars all around considering this is perhaps the oldest hotel in Avalon built in 1910. So, don't expect the Four Seasons with granite and crystal champagne flutes. It is old, and it leans, this is about the experience, not the amenities. It is a very well taken care of hotel with great charm. The hosts were extremely nice as were all the other guests. There is the only Von's on the island very nearby, and it is a one minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. Our room had a great view of the city and harbour. My 17 year old daughter loved it. We will come back for sure."
