This charming Carmel property with its very attractive garden was ideal for our group of six. It is centrally located - to the south is Pt. Lobos and Big Sur, to the north is Monterey, the 17 Mile drive and Pacific Grove. We dined in most evenings, and the square dining room table was perfect. for group conversation. We liked that you could open the adjacent french doors to bring the outside indoors. The back patio is also well suited for outdoor gathering/dining. The kitchen is sufficiently appointed, though it can use more flatware (limited number of forks) and wine glasses (only three, though there were champagne glasses). The bedrooms are nicely done, each with french doors leading outside. As such, each couple had their privacy when they desired it. Overall the interiors are well done, but walls can probably use some touch up. Also, as the house is located on Ocean Ave., which is the main street leading into Carmel, there is some traffic noise,, and pulling in/out of the driveway can be a challenge. Nonetheless, we all agreed we would stay here again.
