The staff was amazing & locked our key in the room by accident and couldn't find spare key but they called a locksmith who got us back in. The hotel is lovely and food is amazing. 「Great location. One night stay in family room which was perfectly set out with kids feeling like they had their own room and we had a good space to ourselves aswell to relax while they were sleeping. The staff were very friendly and accommodating letting us grab drinks from the bar and take to room. Even opened us a bottle of our own wine to take up!! 「The Stables love dogs! They cater for people and 4 legged fury friends equally! We had a brilliant few days being hosted at The Stables, located only a couple of miles from the harbour with easy access into and out of town it really couldn't be in a better location. The views from the bar/breakfast room are amazing and the staff really are top notch, friendly, helpful and everything you come to expect from a great hotel/restaurant. 」

「We really enjoyed our stay but found the cleaning timetable below expectations. We like to relax after lunch but our room was not cleaned until after 3pm which meant that we had to arrange our activities around the hotel schedule rather than the other way round. When we asked there appeared to be no flexibility in the cleaning schedule .」

「Whitby is overpriced for overnight accommodation. Unless you are here for more than two nights the YHA is perfect. Great location (unless you don’t like walking uphill) beautiful views, free parking, basic but very comfortable beds and an amazing breakfast for £10 (2024) Excellent 」

「Our stay was very short just one night we couldn’t get in until 3 clock receptionist could have been more friendly she was in middle of an argument with 2 men about car park didn’t look good on our arrival but hotel room was very nice」

「This hotel listing is incorrect we booked a hotel we thought was in Whitby but this property has been closed for at least the last few months and apparently this hotel is actually in hawes 80miles from Whitby despite all info showing it is in Whitby so we turned up in whitby , no hotel and nowhere else to stay at an affordable price in the Easter holidays so had to go home Do not book this hotel until the issues sorted - check trip advisor we are not the only ones who have been affected 」

「Stayed here as attending a wedding at Danby castle . It was quiet , bedroom lovely and clean , staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast delicious.. no fault whatsoever. Would definitely recommend 🙂」

「Very friendly staff in this pub with rooms located in a peaceful village setting outside the hustle and bustle of Whitby. Very good food, brilliant breakfast and a grand pot of tea. Local doorstep walks and a super walk into Whitby for those fit and active. A great find. Hope to visit again.」
