The name “Hampton Inn” was, at best, misleading, and charitably, was a scam. It was not a “Hampton Inn” at all, just a ripoff trying to capitalize on some precolonial map name that pre existed the trademark for the actual Hampton Inn chain. The king bed was not even a queen. The filthy carpet would have offended my dog. The room’s refrigerator was a full sized unit that growled half the night, then died. The bathroom was okay. The night clerk tried to be helpful, but had no real option to do so. It was a really bad experience and I left with three more days already prepaid.
