"great hotel"

"Great hotel great price. We wanted to stay near everything within a budget. Don’t expect the rooms or bathroom to be very big. But if you’re not there to stay in the room then you’ll be fine like we were. We even went with our baby and a play pen fit in between the two beds. Fridge was big enough for us to store baby things. Closet was spacious enough. They even brought us up our own microwave when we asked if there was one we could use in the lobby just to warm up baby food. Beautiful lobby, restaurant and the employees were always very kind, welcoming, social, and helpful. As far as what’s around, the White House is about a 20 minute walk. From there the Smithsonian area is another 25 minutes. It was really nice out so we enjoyed the walk. If you don’t want to walk, driving is about 10-15 minutes. Many restaurants, stores, nearby. Although valet was great, our only complaint is parking. $60 per night for guests is pricey. Not saying it has to be free, but it can definitely be a bit cheaper. If valet is cheaper next time, we definitely will be staying again. If not, we will probably find another hotel with cheaper parking."

"We stayed here 2 nights and the hotel was nice. It was clean and staff was friendly. We got a room on the 8th floor and although the other guests were a little noisy. It was overall a good stay. We would stay here again."

"I decided to do a staycation this weekend after being referred to The Bethesdan by a few friends. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and appreciated that everything was within close walking distance (restaurants, bars, shopping, and public parking lots). Tip: Park in the public lot instead of paying the $40 onsite rate. The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and the bartender was friendly as well; great happy hour specials! I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend it. "

"Wonderful experience. Calvin was an incredible front desk person. He greeted us and had us in our room in minutes. He offered up some knowledge on the DC area. Excellent stay. "
