「My wife and I really enjoyed this cozy retreat in the Oakland Hills! It has a spiritual vibe and includes many examples of artistic stonework done by the host. We liked the location about halfway up the hills, so it feels hidden in a forested glade - we heard owls more than once - and is protected from the wind that is often experienced at the top of the hills. Park Side Cafe has really upgraded, superb bakery, excellent chef. Breakers Cafe also very good. Bookstore and library close at hand, and Mt. Tam is just across thge street with world class coastal view trails and redwoods. Stinson Beacch Market is well-stocked — including fresh vegetables — and has friendly staff members. 」

「What do you most care about when you’re looking to rent a place? I know what we most care about. Is the bed comfortable? Yes, it is. Is the place clean? Absolutely. Is it quiet? Perfectly quiet and still. Is it within walking distance of the village? It is. And it’s a good walk. But you can also drive your car. There’s plenty of parking. Are the owners nice and easy to deal with? More than that, they are kind and thoughtful. In fact, I really didn’t even want to tell you how wonderful this place...

「Had a contract worker stay here and he was very satisfied, clean and spacious property 」

「Place was perfect for party of 3, very comfy king bed and above average sleeper sofa. Nice sheets too. Bathroom is on the small side but very clean/nice (water pressure was phenomenal). Air conditioners/heaters worked well, nice sized tv with typical streaming options. Bikes came in handy (cool beach cruisers). Was able to do late check-out, which we greatly appreciated. Good communication from owner before and during stay. Will book again next year.」

「Our family, all adults, had our own space and a clean and spacious kitchen in which to gather and cook our own breakfast each day. There was plenty of space in the living room for all to crash and watch Holiday Movies in the evenings. Easy and close parking. 」

「This little SSF art deco home has the old quaint feel… It’s so charming and comfortable, a nice patio and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Communication with the host was fantastic.. his friendly and helpful demeanor was “ tops” If I could give more stars I would, we will definitely be back! 」
