Beautiful Grounds, Poorly Managed Hotel.
This hotel sits on stunning 5-star-worthy grounds, but unfortunately, the experience is strictly 2-star due to poor management and maintenance.
The Good:
• Great location with beautiful surroundings. 10 min driving from Rincon.
• Potential to be excellent if adequately maintained. Nice pool. Amazing sunsets. Cute little beach area.
The Bad:
• Check-in delays—our room—and lots of people—weren’t ready on time. By pushing to have a room ready, we were given a lower alternative than what we had paid for.
• Rooms are rundown—rusty doors, dirty floors, broken balcony latch, loose curtains, and spiders in corners.
• By complaining and not accepting, they moved us to another room (the one we had booked for). Then we had no hot water for two days—the boiler had a leak that couldn’t be fixed over the holiday.
• No working room phone—I had to wait in long lines at reception for any issue, so I had to go down to the reception.
• Lack of cleanliness—noticeable dust, dirt, and spiderwebs in the hotel's corridors.
Despite these issues, we stayed because the holiday weekend lacked options.
Although we had become oked through expedia and told that upgrades would've been offered is available, nothing was offered and nothing was ever apologized.
If management invested in proper upkeep, this could be a top-tier resort—but for now, expect a 2-star experience in a 5-star setting.
Would I ever return or recommend it? Definitely not!
