The bed and breakfast is on the first floor of the main building that belongs to two architects.,The business is in the ground floor, the accommodation and dining room is on the first floor. The rooms are very modern and spacious with a kitchen/dining area having a fridge and crockery etc. You could very easily dine in your room/ apartment as long as their is no cooking involved as there is no cooking facilities. Excellent bathroom with shower and the most delightful aromatherapy products. Large bed and a television on the wall. The wardrobe is just a tubular item with hanging rail and a couple of shelves. My only concern but is only a minor thing is a little more storage for your clothes and personal things. The breakfast is stunning with yogurt fresh fruit, home made bread, jam. Boiled egg with a cheese board with a selection of cold fresh ham. Fresh Nespresso coffee or tea and freshly sweezed orange juice.
The staff is so helpful and friendly. The roof top garden is exquisite with wonderful potted plants where we sat enjoying a glass of wine away from the extremely busy city.
To walk into the city takes about 15/20 mins. There is close by the Science Museum, Nautical Museum, Botanical Gardens, The Zoo and an enormous windmill. At the bottom of the street of the hotel is a couple of restaurants one is an Italian which was fabulous so we ate there twice.
Overall we had a great time in Amsterdam and could highly recommend staying at Stout & Co.
