Alison was a great host. The guest house is perfectly located as you can easily walk into the centre of Ambleside or walk to the pier to go on a Windermere Lake Cruise. I had a very comfortable stay and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

2 Nights in a excellent bed and breakfast. 10/10 .
If i could give 11/10 I would . We went for 2 nights and would definitely go again..The host Alison was very friendly and helpful. Free parking was via a parking permit in a local council carpark , which could be used in other car parks. The room was spotless and a quite big with your own bathroom .The bed was so comfortable I slept really well and was made each day while we were out exploring Breakfast was very tasty with a good choice catering for many tastes.My husband had a full English each morning while i had egg on toast. Alison also catered for vegetarians and those with different dietary needs. While Lyndale bed and breakfast is on the main road we didnt find traffic a problem. The bed and breakfast is 5 minutes walk from Ambleside village which is delightful and a popular place for walkers .In Ambleside there is lots of choice for finding something to eat on an evening, from fish and chips to pub grub and more . There are all the shops you would expected from quaint gift gift shops to mini supermarkets and plenty of walking /climbing attire shops. Or get a ice cream or coffee and just watch the world go by . Waterhead pier on lake windermere is a 2 minutes drive or a 10 minutes walk , with spectacular views of the lake and surrounding hills, and is well worth the walk. The b&b is on a bus route and its worth leaving the car and taking a bus to Kendal or Keswick, you get to see the surrounding countryside without having to worry about finding parking / fee

The guest house is a great place. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. When I return to Ambleside this will be my first choice

Perfect base for a stay in ambleside
A very well presented guest house in a great location. Very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable and very well presented. The breakfast was great. Not one thing to complain about.

Excellent location, 5 mins from lovely Ambleside centre which has numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants . Excellent breakfast and very clean rooms .

Enjoyable stay
Spent 2 nights here but wished that it could've been for longer. Comfy bed, clean room, tea/coffee available in room, and great breakfast choices. Alison is a great host, would highly recommend!

Pleasant 4 night stay
Lovely place. Rooms very clean and contemporary. Great location. Fairly close to town, walkable, but not too noisy. Within 10 mins walk of the main bus stop in Ambleside and bus stops within a couple of minutes. Very nice breakfast and service. Informative local knowledge and books at hand. Ambleside is a great base to explore the Lakes with a lot going on during the night and day. I hope to return.

Had a lovely stay, a friendly welcome from Alison. Had an upgrade and stayed in family room. Lovely views from the windows. Nice full English breakfast and smaller options on menu. Close to lakeside and Ambleside shops. Free car parking with parking pass which included other car parks in Windermere, Bowness, Grassmere, Ulverston and Grange Over Sands. Enjoyed chatting to Alison and other guests in the morning. Great location for exploring the lakes by car.

Wonderful stay! Room is clean and cosy. Bed is very comfortable. Alison, the lovely host, is very nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the cherry on the top of the cake! with plenty of variety and it is all tasty. We highly recommend this bnb and we will definitely stay there again the next time we visit Lake District.
