A unique piece of paradise in North Bimini, “Ernie’s” (named for Ernest Hemingway, who frequented Bimini and found inspiration here for his sea-faring tales) villa has three big comfortable bedrooms, a large open bright living space, and a full open kitchen for big dinner parties, nestled in a lush half-acre enclave. Enjoy our deck right on the water with a full-size grill. The property has 100 feet of waterfront and a large dock. Includes tie-up for a boat up to about 40 feet; low tide about 40". No canals, no condos. Ernie’s offers an authentic Bimini-island experience outside the resort and the condos, without sacrificing creature comforts and style. A private, gated property steps away from a friendly local community with great restaurants, bars, and stores. If you want a larger gathering with family or friends, we have two other cottages close by on our property (#2875346 and # 2881517). A quick cart ride south to Radio Beach and the attractions of Alice Town. And a quicker cart ride north to the restaurants, casino, and other offerings of Resort World and the Hilton. Enjoy our yoga mats - a great way to start the day watching the sunrise. Starlink high-speed WIFI for Netflix (or checking in at work, if you must). Swim/snorkel right out front. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and rising moons are at your doorstep!

Beautiful Bimini Bliss
Shaqueria was fabulous. Couldn’t have asked for a more responsive and kind property manager. The home is absolutely lovely in the heart of Bimini. You go for relaxation you will get it. The best part of this home was the water area you could swim in right off the dock when tides were low which was most late afternoons. It was perfect!!! Trying to talk my husband into going back with me soon. We went for a girls trip this time.

Bimini by personal boat
There was a slight hiccup with check in times but the property manager and owner got it squared away very quickly with no issues and also refunded a generous amount for our troubles. The house was perfect with only a couple small issues like the coffee pot, outside grill and one of the mini splits in the living room. The boat dock was more than adequate for my 32ft power catamaran with plenty of water depth on the big slip even at low tide. There was also fresh water hoses for post-sail clean up. We'll definitely stay here again. My only recommendation for the house is getting a new outside grill, outside fillet table on the dock and a ice machine would be fantastic. ($20 a bag in town is very expensive)

Amazing place and trip.
Perfect place for our family trip. Clean and comfortable had all the basic essentials. We struggled with not bringing enough food and had to shop a lot on the island which was tough. But the house and property and location made it easy and very enjoyable. We’re already planning another trip!

Cannot possibly rate highly enough
As nice as the house looks online, it is much better once you're there. The house is very nice, the view, the water, the location send it over the top. Also the host rep Shequira took very good care of us, and was a pleasure to deal with. We look forward to staying there again in the future. No doubt 5/5 across the board.

Beautiful property in paradise with all you need and amazing hosts!
There aren’t enough words to describe how perfect this home, the owners, and the property manager are! At the time of booking you are greeted with a message from the property owner providing you with detailed information about the property, location, local activities and restaurants, and contact information for the property manager and others that may be able to assist you during your stay. Upon arrival, you pull into a perfectly manicured, secluded lot that is surrounded by a privacy fence and hosts three cottages and a laundry building. We stayed at Ernie’s Cottage. When you walk into the cottage, your breath is immediately stolen by the open view at the back of the house overlooking the ocean. The water is just steps from the back of the house and is crystal clear. During our stay we say many fish, a starfish, and even stingrays just off the dock! The home has been tastefully remodeled with updated light fixtures, bathrooms, flooring, furniture, and appliances. It has all of the convenience of home, including a Keurig (full pot and pods - it does both), large gas grill, small wood grill, BLENDER, oven, microwave, remote controlled ceiling fan and lights, Amazon fire stick TV, dual head showers, wine glasses, cookware & dishes, and soft, comfortable bedding (just to make a few). The property has everything you need and want in a home away from home. Thank you so much to Joe, Karen, Shaquira and Mark for the beautiful property and amazing stay! ❤️

Game Changer
We have stayed on S. Bimini for the last 2 years and thought “what could be better than this”. Well, we found it at Ernie’s Cottage. The view was gorgeous, watching the boats go by, the breeze, watching the kids play in the water off the dock…and much more, were all factors in exceeding my expectations. The house if spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had a large crew and made it work. (I checked with Joe on this first) The absolute best part was that we could sit outside and enjoy the mornings and evenings with NO BUGS. It was absolutely amazing! Hope to stay at Ernie’s again next year!

Amazing Trip!!!!!
We had a great trip. It was our first time in bimini. The house was perfectly clean and came with everything we needed for the week. Awesome outdoor spaces to relax. Wonderful dock for parking the boat, with a great space for swimming and fishing too. Joe the owner was super helpful, very kind and responsive to questions. We are looking forward to returning soon!!!!

We Enjoyed the Cottage
We stayed in Ernie's Cottage for five days. It is a comfortable house, with sufficient AC to keep it cool during hot July days. There was plenty of room for the five of us, and the two bathrooms work well for our group. Ernie's is one of three cottages on the property, and we got to know the people staying in the other cottages. We were all there for the same time period. Communications were good with the owner, and through their local manager, we were able to get a couple of requests fulfilled quickly. The location of the cottage on the bay side of the island is nice, as there were a lot of fish, sting rays and even a octopus visible from the dock. We did not have a boat, but for the folks in the other cabin that did, they had the convenience of their boat docked close by. Overall, we rate the cottage and its location with five stars. We demoted the location rating to a four only because Bimini as a whole is a mess. The neighborhood around the cottage is safe, and active with the locals, but it looks like a continuous junk yard. We spent most of our time at Radio beach, which is littered with debris. We felt compelled to clean it up ourselves, but it all comes down to the local's perception of what their island should look like. It does not look good. But, having said all of that, we found the local people to be friendly and helpful, and overall we enjoyed our stay in Bimini.

SPECTACULAR!
Words won’t do this listing the justice it deserves. The house was amazing, the view was amazing, the owner was amazing! Location was great! We had issues with our flight and Joe helped us with accommodations for the extra night. He was always available for any questions we had and helped us so many times. I can’t recommend this home enough. We are already planning to go back and book with Joe again. Next time we will definitely come in by Sea Plane.

Privacy in paradise!!!
We had the most incredible trip and staying at Ernies was pivotal in our entire experience. The renovation was clearly very carefully planned with a lot of thought put into design and comfort. The view is stunning and it was quiet and calm on the harbor side. It truly was like our own swimming pool. The tide was as low as 2 feet at several pints during our stay. Our girls ages 12, 13, 16 and 19 loved it! They got plenty of sun laying in the lounge chairs, walking the dock and playing in the water. They caught conch, crab, gathered shells, we saw an iguana, a starfish and a stingray. The bathrooms are very nice, the kitchen was stocked and the coffee bar was very nice each morning. We felt safe and we liked having the privacy. The hotel is very close by as is the water port we flew into. We ate out, we cooked in and we couldn’t have had more fun just spending time together. We played cards and monopoly (found at the house!) I would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely come back. We have no complaints. The owner, Joe was also staying next door when we arrived and he was so kind and shared all kinds of tips and tricks to island living. Get a golf cart and explore the island! We frequented Nate’s Bimini bread - we tried something new each day! Eat at Edith’s!
