We stayed for 5 nights at Vrachos Villas in October. We stayed in the 2-storey villa at the topmost point of the resort. This had a lovely upstairs balcony which gave fabulous sea and mountain views. It was lovely to watch the sunset while having an evening meal on the balcony. There is also a table/chairs outside the front door which we made use of. The bottom floor was a large open plan living room with kitchenette with everything you need - fridge/freezer, electric hob for cooking and toilet. Upstairs had a bathroom/toilet and large bedroom. There was plenty of space for a couple. It was the quietest location on the resort.
When I say "resort" it's only about 7 quiet villas altogether with a little taverna for evening meals/breakfast, and very cosy. It's in a really lovely section of Southern Crete - very mountainous, quite a challenge to drive there. Very very quiet! If you enjoy peace and quiet, away from crowds, to enjoy nature without people, this is the perfect place to stay. If you want nightlife or entertainment, then this is definitely not for you - better to stay on the north of the island if you want all that.
The only improvements to make this stay even more perfect is - perhaps a toaster, and a Wifi booster in these furthest villas. It was possible to get a Wifi signal outside on the balcony, but not inside.
