"Horrible accommodation. Booked a non smoking room and received a smoking room. When we requested a room change, we were told that only smoking rooms were left. The alarm clock in the room rang at 4am in the morning. Don't stay here."

"This Ryokan was quaint in the perfect way. It felt traditional without the modern flair. The owner was amazing and drove me to the snow monkey park at no cost. The onsen was perfect and tatami room was gorgeous. Amazing view around the town with the snow."

The breakfast and dinner was served by older ladies that did not necessarily speak English but definitely kept trying to make it an amazing experience each time. The variety of the served food was just overwhelming. So delicious and always something freshly cooked right at your table. "Very welcoming place. Staff do everything they can to help you. About 10 minutes walk from sakka lifts at Happo and hotel runs shuttle services to and from the slopes each day either direct to Happo, goryu or bus terminal and then bus take you onwards to the many other Hakuba slopes. Breakfast buffet is quite good. Onsen on site is great. One of the best places I've stayed. "
