"Good location near Station can walk undercover to it. We are 70 but got allocated a room at the furthest end of a very long corridor far away from the only lift maybe as weren't members of Toyoko Hotel chain (maybe more thought from staff re that but could just be the auto computer allocation?) Breakfast was included but when we went down it was so packed with people there were not enough seats too small a dining room so skipped it & bought sandwiches at 7-11. We stayed at 5 of Toyoko Inns...

"Short walking distance from Akita station. Room was nice, but very basic. View was of the building, but I don't mind not having a view. Close to 7-11 which is inbetween the hotel and the station."

I wasn't expecting much, but if this was the price range of Daiwa hotels in other Prefectures, and if the quality is consistent then I'd definitely keep booking! "The seamless pick up at the station and the lovely kamakuras in the hotel were great. Meal service was great. Staff onsite were wonderful and the snow views made everything magical. The town was v quiet so buy whatever you need before you arrive. Also make sure to alert the staff 5 days in advance if u have dietary needs, the reservation/meals team would not accommodate last minute dietary restrictions even if you have legit reasons which tbh was the only disappointment in our almost perfect...

"After a couple weeks of typical small business hotel rooms in Japan, I was surprised to find a spacious single room waiting after check in. Excellent location as well, steps from the station entrance (can even walk inside, although it’s a bit of a maze through a shopping mall)"
