"Loved loved loved staying here. The only reason I put unsafe is because through day and night there were small groups of men yelling and catcalling for the time I stayed. So be aware. "Second time staying at Freehand. Absolutely love it here, you just can't beat the price, location, and accomodations. Great staff, quaint pool area with lush vegetation and a sense of isolation and privacy, great music, vibrant night life, grocery/liquor/food one block away, awesome beach 2 blocks away. "The location is very good and safe with 10 mins walk to subway station. No elevator! I had 2 suitcases and the friendly front desk young man offered to take them up stairs to the 3 rd floor! The room is not big but comfy with individual bath. I booked the private room. There are other shared rooms with shared bathrooms I guess. The hostels is very clean and the kitchen/ living room in the basement is very spacious with many sofa/ table and chairs to sit. Walking to restaurants. "
