There are a few things that require urgent review from the hotel.
- The concierge cannot be reached by in-room telephone. We had to go to the lobby to speak to the concierge. I have never encountered this in a 5 star hotel. The concierge should be easily accessible.
- Our friend who booked a family suite requested an extra blanket because he was cold, but was refused numerous times on the basis that the hotel had to “protect their property”, meaning the blanket. We are completely shocked by this hostile “explanation”. We did not feel welcomed by the hotel, and felt the hotel saw us as thieves that would steal their blanket rather than guests who paid a great sum of money for their service.
The hotel urgently need to review their service and be more flexible to cater for the needs of their guests. Such rigid behaviour is off-putting and I hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
