"Nice and handy, 10 minute walk to Kyoto station. Between Higashiyama Honganji and Nishi Honganji. Close to Karasuma Dori and Gojo Dori for buses and subway. Room was very nice and perfect for one or 2 people. Staff were very welcoming."

"Beautiful property designed for a good refresh. So glad I stayed here and took advantage of the bath with a garden view. Staff was extremely helpful; my credit card got frauded and I had to get a replacement. The staff was extremely helpful in navigating the postal system for me. Quiet neighbourhood near the Imperial palace with beautiful parks and a nice break from the chaos of other tourist areas."

"Absolutely wonderful people at SAKANOUE, made me feel so welcome and special. I loved the unique, traditional vibe and peaceful atmosphere here. Only slight downside is outdated bathroom, and there is only an AC unit on the wall which isn’t very powerful so the room is quite stuffy at night (in here in September so it’s hot & humid)."

"I know is not directly related to the staff but directly to the guest that stay there but some of the share spaces were a little dirty... I think the administration should put more rules about to clean each space you use and create consciousness that there are other people than you. I another thing is that the administration should make maintenance to the showers and the shoes area... But other that that, was a great experience, the staff is super nice, also the beds and the first floor is also...
