Checking in was easy and quick and Fanny spoke very good English and was friendly and accommodating.
I arrived by car and mistakenly parked in the shopping centre initially, resulting in me wasting €3. You want Parking Indigo Bagnolet Porte De Bagnolet, which is the middle entry route and costs nearly €11 for 24h -- look at the signs on entry. Getting to and from the car to the hotel is confusing and there is no lift so you have to carry your luggage up and down stairs and across the car park and through the shopping centre initially (entry code given later). It feels unsafe although it is surrounded with cameras.
The area near the hotel is run down but has the convenience of being next to a small shopping centre with various food outlets to choose from. Also you are only a few steps away from transport links and can easily get to the centre of Paris on the metro in less than half an hour.
The room itself was disappointing and didn't look like in the pictures. It was small, dull and the design outdated. It had no USB plugs for charging. The carpet was old and ripped and the bathtub had a scaling on the bottom so I didn't even want to use it in that state. The beds were clean and the bathroom sink and toilet were in good condition. I mentioned these points to the staff and they offered to change the room but noted that other rooms might be similar to the one I had so I decided to put up with it since I only had one more night to stay.
