「The studio apartment was perfect for our short stay in the area. It was well appointed and so quiet. It was a short drive to Hobbiton for our tour and felt like we were already in the shire. We could easily drive to Cambridge for any meals or provisions. I recommend Kauri Lodge as a great stay in the area.」

「Overall very enjoyable and only hitch no gas for the BBQ, but felt maintenance had been let slip, lights in one bathroom didn't work, clothes dryer door latch broken, main doors to deck unable to be used, outdoor chair broken, coffee milk-frother agitator missing, broken tile in laundry floor, all minor other than the deck doors and could/should have been repaired before our stay.」

「We loved the character of the boat shed. Good fire wood supply, and panel heaters, kept the house cosy and warm. Beds were comfortable. Freya was very easy to communicate with. We were very appreciative of the late check out. We would happily stay again, a beautiful spot looking over the lake.」
