"Booked this hotel to be close to the Christchurch Airport, and it was perfect. Very nice and clean. Layout was a little odd (lift at opposite end of the hallway from the front desk/check in) but otherwise no issues."

"The George is an outstanding hotel. The service was amazing. The bistro and bar were very good. The room was very comfortable and modern. The location is right next to the Avon River and park and is a perfect place to stay at in Christchurch if you want to walk to the main attractions. "

"It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it was very clean and comfortable. With the windows closed the unit was very well insulated and we couldn't hear traffic noise, which was great. The property is starting to show its age however was impeccably clean."

"The hotel is very nice, it is a very well maintained heritage building with modern features inside. We love the pool and spa as it is very convenience to have the internal access to the facilities. The location is perfect and easy to walk to everything. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. :)"
