We arrived at the hotel early, but were allowed to take advantage of the hotel's services before we checked in.
We were asked to disinfect when entering the hotel and restaurant and very considerate of COVID19.
You are also required to wear a mask when ordering at the bar.
The service was very good and I had a great vacation. One thing I regret is that the Japanese restaurant was not good.
I wish they could experience the real taste in Japan.
Other than that, it was great.

Everything was first class from check-in when we asked Marie about getting a corner room and her explaining to us the resort rules and information about the resort and restaurants. We had to call maintenance from toilet not properly flushing and quickly correcting the problem. The view was outstanding looking over the activities pool and blue water of the bay. We ate at Don Roberto restaurant waiter Eder went out of his way to get us anything we asked for. We mentioned the Black/White restaurant Steak House dinner and he said he could get it for us the next night and he did. We had the surf and turf and the lobster. It was wonderful end to a great trip. One thing to remember is the staff is there and tipping them is money that is helping hard working people. Yes, it is an All-Inclusive resort, but everyone went above and beyond. Definitely recommend the RIU Hotels and Resorts.

Everything you would need or want in an all inclusive stay. Extremely pleased with the food. Never thought I would enjoy a buffet as much as I did. Plenty of other restaurants on property but we ate at buffet almost every meal everyday. Absolutely wonderful experience

Had a terrible experience at this resort. It’s very old and dated, we found black mold in the vents that was all over the ceiling walking down the hall to our room on the 4th floor. Our room was so humid the sheets were wet and the room had a terrible mildew/mold smell that I still can’t get out of our clothes. Service was hit or miss and it’s a ft job trying to get a drink at the pool. Also caught some sort or “noro virus “ and stayed in the room a day in half. Found out after I could leave the room that whatever I caught was getting others sick as well. The bed was terrible and old n lumpy and house keeping didn’t put a mattress pad on and that was great. Another weird thing was the restaurants would always have stained table cloths/napkins. Food was ok but nothing special and room service wasn’t good and took forever to get. For the insane price I paid it was a total rip off and I honestly can’t rationalize why they have a big cult following who say this is the best. Next time I’ll go with my gut and stay with the Excellence brand of resorts!
