"I used to stay at the Hotel Carlton when it was a Joie de Vivre Hotel and always loved the atmosphere, the spacious layout, the convenient parking across the street, and the wonderful breakfasts at Crostini and Java a block away, (There's also a delightful queer-owned Russian restaurant next door.) "Great for one night.Room clean, comfortable, and updated. Lots of shopping and food walking distance. Good choices for light breakfast. entrance is being renovated, so have to look for the lobby. "

"I think it is ridiculous to charge $10 for parking! I did not have this charge 2 weeks ago when I stayed there, and in fact, have never paid for parking at a hotel!"

"Excellent location, close to shops, dining and transportation. Better than expected for the price!! Very clean, quiet and safe property. Downside is I had no refrigerator or microwave, and no ice machine available, also no room service, which was very much needed for my 3 day stay. Overall I give it a 9 out of 10 "
